Peak Oil Book Review: Too Much Magic by James Kunstler
Website: MrEnergyCzar.com This is my Peak Oil book review for the book, "Too Much Magic" by James Kunstler. Facebook www.facebook.com Twitter: Twitter.com Wishful thinking, technology and the fate of the nation. I'm giving this five stars. Kunstler is one of my favorite authors. This could be a downer book considered by some. I don't see it that way. I did read, "The Long Emergency", that came out in 2005. This kind of looks like it, even with the cover, probably on purpose. This is, seven years later, an extension of, "The Long Emergency" with of course updates. He explains very well what's gone on, with all the techno financial instruments created and Wall Street's issues and no accountability to any of these things. Politics are mixed in very well. The, "Too Much Magic", refers to the techno-narcissism, as he calls it, where we think technology can solver everything including energy, the environment, bio-engineering, food, even finances, whatever. I do give this 5 stars. I recommend everybody read it.
